    Enabling/Disabling On-Screen Messaging:

  1. Right-click on Multi User Desktop 2004 icon in
    the system tray on the original Windows desktop.
  2. Click on “Settings”.
  3. Remove the checkmark from “Show desktop caption
    when switching desktops” to disable on-screen
    messaging”. Place a checkmark beside “Show desktop
    caption when switching desktops” to enable on-screen
    messaging.
Click on Apply and OK to save changes.

Changing Message's Position, Visible Time, Font,
Font Size, Font Colour, and Style:

  1. Right-click on Multi User Desktop 2004 icon in
    the system tray on the original Windows desktop.
  2. Click on “Settings”.
  3. Change message's position in the “Position” box.
    Select how many seconds you want the message to be
    visible in the “Time delay” box. Click on “FONT” to select
    message's font, font size, font colour, and style.

    Click on Apply and OK to save changes.

  1. Right-click on Multi User Desktop 2004 icon in
    the system tray on the original Windows desktop.
  2. Click on “Settings”.
  3. Remove the checkmark from “Multi User Desktop 2004
    will be loaded each time Windows starts” to prevent
    MUD2004 from loading automatically. Place a checkmark
    to have MUD2004 loading each time Windows is starts”.
Click on Apply and OK to save changes.

Enabling/Disabling “Desktop Auto-switch”:

  1. Right-click on Multi User Desktop 2004 icon in
    the system tray on the original Windows desktop.
  2. Click on “Settings”.
  3. Place a checkmark in the “Desktop Auto-switch via
    a Time delay” check box to enable “Desktop Auto-switch”.
    Remove the checkmark to disable “Desktop Auto-switch”.
  4. Assign a hotkey to Start/Stop Auto-switch.
  5. Select how many seconds each desktop will be shown
    before the switch to the next desktop.
Click on Apply and OK to save changes.

Changing Shell application for the Default Desktop:

  1. Right-click on Multi User Desktop 2004 icon in
    the system tray on the original Windows desktop.
  2. Click on “Settings”.
  3. Click on folder icon beside “Default Shell Application”
    field and browse to select the desired Shell Application.
    (The default shell is Windows Explorer located in
    C:\WINNT\Explorer.exe.
    Changing this option is recommended only for
    the advanced users)
    .
Click on Apply and OK to save changes.

Enabling/Disabling keyboard language indicator:
  1. Right-click on Multi User Desktop 2004 icon in
    the system tray on the original Windows desktop.
  2. Click on “Settings” then on “Enhancements” panel.
  3. Place a checkmark in the “Display keyboard indicator
    on additional desktops” check box to show the keyboard
    language indicator. Remove the checkmark to disable
    the keyboard language indicator.
  4. Click on Apply and OK to save changes.

  1. Right-click on Multi User Desktop 2004 icon in
    the system tray on the original Windows desktop.
  2. Click on “Settings” then on “Enhancements” panel.
  3. Place/remove checkmark in the “Automatically
    Activate windows under cursor” check box
    to enable/disable it.
  4. Click on Apply and OK to save changes.
