Cause:
On some occasions and on some systems Windows Explorer may
freeze and not respond to the
call placed by Windows Kernel.
When this happens Windows restores that desktop to the default settings.
The default settings are taken from the Original Windows Desktop
(The Standard Desktop).
Fix:
The fix is to Disable and Enable that particular Desktop.
The Quickest way to that is:
1. Right Click on Multi Desktop icon in the system Tray on
The Original Windows Desktop
2. Point to Desktops
3. Click on Desktops
4. Highlight the desktop you want to disable or enable
5. Click on Edit
6. To disable that desktop remove check mark from "Enable this desktop"
7. To enable that desktop put check mark to "Enable this desktop"
8. Click on Apply and OK to save the changes
Prevention:
If this problem occurs on regular basis you can disable the anti-virus or run
fewer programs simultaneously on your computer. |

3. Load Multi Desktop 2003
4. Restore Active Desktop on the next desktop.
5. Repeat the steps 1 to 4 If you need to restore Active desktop on
more desktops
Prevention:
We recommend turning OFF Active Desktop.
To turn off Active Desktop go to Display Properties in Control Panel click
on the "WEB" tab and
remove check mark from "Show Web Content

Cause:
Multi Desktop 2003 gets the list of all possible display resolutions, color depth
and refresh rate from Windows.
On some systems Windows will report a
combination for display resolution, color depth and refresh rate different
from the
actual display resolution, color depth and refresh rate being used by the computer.
Example: In Display Properties Windows reports Refresh rate of 85Hz but the actual refresh rate used is 60 or 100, etc.
In this event Multi Desktop will use the most optimal combination for display resolution, color depth and refresh rate.
Fix: / Prevention:
Reset resolution, color depth and refresh rate to the actual that is being used by your computer. |
